The winter cold didn't stop these two from saying "I Do" in the woods of Drakewood this past January. With an intimate micro winter wedding it was a perfect start to the year for this sweet couple. But how did they meet?

As fate would have it the two meet online and then quickly realized that they simply enjoyed spending time together. Their first date? A Nashville Soccer game with a laid back start that led to a beautiful adventure for the two. 

Centered around the quality time that they loved with each other their days had more sporting events, food spots to concerts, trips and of course time with family. Every experience brought them closer together and build their foundation that was rooted in laughter, fun and genie friendship. 

With a surprise proposal in Arizona after dinner one night tucked away in the mountains Brennis asked the question and as you can see she said yes!

Jessica & Jeff started off 2026 on their wedding day! But here is how it started...

From the couple, "We meet on Bumble, dating apps dont work until they do. It was not love at first site, but friends at first meet up. After 4 weeks of talking on the phone till the early morning hours we went on our first date at Demos in Murfreesboro. We talked the whole night until they started cleaning up around us and then we knew we had found something rare and special."

The Engagement Story:

"We were going on an Iceland Adventure and he proposed in front of the Northern lights it was very romantic, surprising and cold."

During this month of love we want to share love happening at Drakewood Farm all the time! Megan & Makarious were eloped at Drakewood last year and were so excited to tie that knot with close friends and family by their side. 

With detailed planning Makarious was able to plan the surprise of life time for Megan. After getting her close cousin in on the surprise they were able to convince Megan to do a photoshoot. Megan not knowing asked Markarious if he was interested in the offer and of course it was a quick yes. After getting to the "photoshoot" location she realized something else was planned. Markarious got down on one knee and when Megan turned around all her close family and friends were already there to celebrate such an exciting moment.

We want to share a sweet love story in this month of love! Ashley and Jack were married at Drakewood Farm this past summer. A unique outdoor wedding with bright colors in a Tennessee summer. But how did it all start?

After meeting through mutual friends in Southern California a friendship turned into much more. This love lead all the way to their favorite hike but Jack had something else planned. Ashley looking at the scenery spotted a buck and then going to tell Jack and turned to find him on one knee with a diamond ring sparkling in his hand. We all can guess what happened next, SHE SAID YES!!

The couple mentioned that over the past eight years they have grown, changed and experienced so much together side by side. Something remained the same after all those years and it was how much they simply enjoyed being together. They say its a rare kind of love, not just romantic but rooted in a deep friendship with trust and comfort knowing they always are on the same team.

Valentine's Day is almost here and we helping you make dinner reservations in Nashville. Nashville Guru has created a Valentine's Day Dinner Ideas and we wanted to share our favorites from the list!

Pelato and Luogo are the sister Italian restaurants taking over the recent Nashville food scene and they are preparing for your Valentine's Date Night. Pelato is located in Germantown and Luogo in the Gultch. We would suggest making reservations to either of these as soon as you can. 

Pelato setting is more casual will the Luogo setting is more date night romantic. Pelato is shareable plates with Luogo is your more classic full dinner plate per person. Both of these locations are Drakewood Staff approved!

Parking: Pelato has free street parking with is minimal so plan to pay for parking in near by paid lots. Luogo provides the following parking option as well as near by paid lots in easy walking distance, "Valet parking is available in our garage for $15. Entrance located on 12th Avenue South between Demonbreun Street & Laurel Street."

*For those couples in Franklin and those that just already are in love with Pelato they are soon to be opening a location in Franklin!

Parking: Most parking around the restraunt is street parking in the surrounding neighboods since this is a more laid-back option. There is also paid lots in wlaking distance.
